About the role
The Recovery Agent is responsible for recovering overdue loans through direct client engagement and enforcement of collection policies.
This role helps maintain the quality and performance of lending portfolios.
Responsibilities and competencies
- Follow up on delinquent accounts
- Implement agreed recovery strategies
- Report recovery outcomes and update systems
- Work with legal or compliance teams as needed
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities
- Negotiation and persuasion
- Record keeping
- Compliance awareness
- Problem-solving
Requirements
- Minimum of 2:1 in any discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan recovery or collections
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory collection requirements
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in the field
