About the role
The Credit Analyst sits within the Finance and Risk team and is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants. The role evaluates borrower data, financial statements, and credit reports to support informed lending decisions. This position ensures that lending activities follow established policies and procedures, helping to maintain portfolio quality and minimize risk.
Responsibilities and competencies
- Review borrower's financial and credit information
- Assess applications against credit policies and criteria
- Prepare credit assessment reports and recommendations
- Monitor loan performance and early warning indicators
- Collaborate with risk and product teams to refine credit assessment processes
- Strong analytical and numerical skills

Requirements
- Minimum of 2:1 degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in credit analysis or lending operations
- Familiarity with credit scoring models and financial statements
- Knowledge of consumer or SME lending products
